The Norda 005 is a lightweight trail racing shoe for race day, tempo sessions and fast ultras on technical terrain. Norda calls it a trail super shoe, and it's made for the runner who studies the course profile twice and still goes out a little too hot.
Who the 005 is for
Built for race day and the sharp sessions that get you there, from tempo efforts on singletrack to sending it down technical descents. The Fit-Lock System pairs a padded heel collar with a perforated microsuede tongue and an internal foot binding engaged by the laces, so your foot stays put when the pace gets spicy, and the open-mesh Bio-Dyneema upper breathes and dries fast. An Arnitel TPEE midsole gives a soft, responsive and stable ride over Vibram Megagrip Elite rubber, and it comes with two insoles: a moulded Arnitel one for training and a die-cut one for race day.
Most runners find the 005 about a half size small, so size up a half; the fit is roomy overall, but the toe box sits a little low. Want more cushion for long days in the mountains? The 055 also uses Arnitel TPEE, with maximum cushioning and a roomier toe box.
