Who the Escalante 5 is for
For runners who want a natural, connected ride that helps build stronger feet with every step. It's happy crushing speedwork, ticking off road miles or strolling around town, with an engineered knit upper, updated tongue and redesigned collar giving it a classic, comfortable feel. Altra EGO foam keeps things responsive underfoot, and an updated rubber outsole adds durability without bulk.
In our fittings it runs true to size, with a slim heel and midfoot, a spacious toe box, and a new collar and tongue that stop lace bite. Coming from the Escalante 4? The 5 gets an updated rubber outsole for better durability, plus a redesigned collar and tongue. Want a higher-stack zero-drop trainer for longer runs? Try the Torin 9.
