Norda 055 - Strato - Men

The Norda 055 is a max-cushioned trail running shoe for long runs, ultras and daily training on technical mountain terrain. It's Norda's big-day shoe, the pair you reach for when the plan involves a summit, a headlamp and more vert than is strictly sensible.

Who the 055 is for

Mountain runners who want Norda's tough Bio-Dyneema build with more cushion than the 001, for ultras, long runs and big days above the trees. A seamless one-piece knit sock collar locks your foot in and keeps grit and scree out, the woven Dyneema and nylon upper breathes and drains fast, and the Dyneema laces are four times stronger than standard laces. Underfoot, a pure Arnitel TPEE midsole gives a resilient, propulsive ride, and the Vibram Megagrip Elite outsole with protective lips at the toe and heel lets you let it rip on the descents.

We recommend going up a half size, since the 055 runs about a half size small, though the toe box itself is roomy. It has a roomier toe box than the 001, 002 and 005, and 360-degree reflective linework helps on early starts and late finishes. Want something lighter for race day? Try the 005.
