Hornby Organic OSnack Chocolate Espresso is an organic oat snack bar with peanut butter, coconut and real coffee, a real-food bite for trailheads, ride stops and pre-run hunger. It started as a family recipe on Hornby Island, BC, and tastes like your coffee-shop treat squeezed into a vest pocket.
It suits easy long runs, hikes and afternoon slumps where you want proper food, not another gel. Expect warm, full-bodied coffee flavour, salty-scrumptious peanut butter and a chewy coconut finish. Hornby keeps the recipe short: organic rolled oats, honey and peanut butter, with fair trade chocolate chips and organic coffee.
Unwrap and eat, ideally with an actual coffee on the side. Craving something fruitier? Try OSnack Peanut Butter & Jam or OSnack Chocolate Chip Banana. Of the three, this is the grown-up one: same oat-and-peanut-butter base, with a coffee twist instead of fruit.
