The Saucony Peregrine 16 is a versatile trail running shoe for technical terrain, from daily training to race day. Grippy, nimble and tough, it’s the one-shoe quiver for runners who’d rather be on singletrack than anywhere else.
Trail runners who want one shoe for rocks, roots and mud that never feels clunky. The high-strength mesh upper shrugs off abrasion, the reinforced toe takes the odd root strike, and it works with trail gaiters for scree-filled descents. When the trail tips downhill and gets technical, the low heel drop keeps you close to the ground so you can let it rip.
It runs slightly small with a narrow forefoot, so we recommend going up a half size. This is the Wide version; it also comes in standard width. Coming from the Peregrine 15? The 16 adds more PWRRUN cushioning, swaps the PWRTRAC outsole for full-coverage Vibram Megagrip, and drops the rock plate. Want a plusher shoe for ultras? The Xodus Ultra 4 has a softer, thicker midsole.
