The Raide Research Trail Tech Short 5" is a lined trail running short with tights-style storage built in, so you can carry water and fuel and go further with nothing on your back. It comes with a locking-cap Hydrapak soft flask, and the two large pockets sit where Raide says carrying is most biomechanically efficient.
It's built for long trail runs and big mountain days when you'd rather leave the vest at home. Two large pockets for a phone or flask, two gel pockets and a zippered pocket give you bounce-free storage, hidden elastic bands carry poles, an ice axe or a layer, and the short is designed to integrate with Raide's running belts as part of the TrailTech System.
The outer is Toray's DotAir fabric over a lighter, made-in-France nylon-elastane liner with a silicone grip at the hem, and a laser-perforated waistband with an internal drawstring keeps the fit secure. Coming from the original Trail Tech Short? This version keeps the same five-pocket layout with the new liner.
