The Altra Timp 6 GTX is a zero-drop, waterproof trail running shoe for wet trail runs, hikes and long, sloppy days outside. Rain-soaked singletrack, mud-bathed climbs and slushy shoulder-season loops are exactly where this one comes alive.
Who the Timp 6 GTX is for
Made for trail runners and hikers who don't let a bit of weather call the shots. A GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper made with recycled materials keeps the wet out without bulk, and the Vibram Megagrip outsole holds on over slick rock, mud and loose, technical ground. Altra EGO MAX foam gives a light, lively ride with enough cushioning to smooth out rough sections on the long days.
Most runners find it true to size with a roomy toe box and secure midfoot, though the waterproof version fits a touch snugger than the regular Timp 6. Heading out on dry days too? The regular Timp 6 has the same EGO MAX and Megagrip combo with a soft rolled mesh upper. Want more ankle coverage? Try the Timp 6 MID GTX.
