The Altra Timp 6 is a zero-drop, cushioned trail running shoe for technical terrain, long runs, ultras and hiking. Steep climbs, rocky descents and all-day adventures: it's the easygoing trail favourite that still brings serious energy when the singletrack gets rowdy.
Who the Timp 6 is for
For trail runners who want one shoe to cover a lot of ground, from rooty climbs to long days in the mountains. Protective overlays fend off debris while keeping a comfortable flex, the Vibram Megagrip outsole bites into wet roots and loose gravel, and a GaiterTrap makes it easy to add a trail gaiter. Altra EGO MAX foam adds a light, springy cushion that helps keep legs fresher on long outings.
It fits true to size, with a roomy Standard FootShape toe box and a secure midfoot and heel. Coming from the Timp 5? The 6 gets a redesigned Megagrip outsole, an evolved fit for a better step-in feel and a soft, premium rolled mesh upper made for durability. Need it waterproof? Try the Timp 6 GTX.
