The Altra Torin 8 GTX is a zero-drop, waterproof road running shoe for daily miles, wet commutes and walking. Stormy training days and cool, rainy mornings are its happy place, keeping your feet dry while you get the run done.
Who the Torin 8 GTX is for
For runners who don't let wet weather derail the training week. A GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper over jacquard mesh gives lightweight waterproof protection without bulk, and a moulded heel collar and secure midfoot keep it steady from the first step to the final kilometre. Altra EGO MAX foam provides a cushioned, stable platform for long stretches of pavement.
We find it true to size with a roomy toe box and secure midfoot, though it fits a touch snugger than the regular Torin 8. Want the newest version? The Torin 9 GTX adds dual-density P35X foam and a grippier Vibram outsole. Prefer it without the membrane? Try the regular Torin 8.
