The Topo Athletic Ultraventure 5 is a max-cushioned trail running shoe for long runs, ultras, hiking and road-to-trail routes. Five generations in, it's the comfy, go-all-day trail shoe for runners and hikers who care more about the kilometres than the pace.
Who the Ultraventure 5 is for
For runners and hikers who link up trail, gravel and road and want comfort that lasts all day. The tweaked ZipFoam midsole keeps the plush, responsive ride the Ultraventure is known for, and the Vibram XS Trek EVO outsole has a lug pattern built for mild to moderate terrain. The recycled mesh upper is more durable than before and works with Topo's universal gaiter system for dusty, gravelly days.
It fits true to size with a wide toe box, though the midfoot is a little snugger than the Ultraventure 4. Need more room? It also comes in Wide. Coming from the Ultraventure 4? The 5 gets a new midsole platform, a more durable recycled mesh upper and the universal gaiter system. Heading somewhere rockier and steeper? Try the MTN Racer 4.
