The La Sportiva Akasha II is a cushioned trail running shoe for long runs, ultras and daily training on technical terrain. Steady, protective and confident, it's the shoe for runners whose idea of a good day is a long one in the mountains.
Who the Akasha II is for
Made for runners logging big days on rocky, rooty and relentlessly long routes who want a locked-in, controlled ride. The 3D AirMesh upper is very breathable and snugs up to any volume foot, while a TPU exoskeleton and Dynamic ProTechTion HF overlays on the forefoot add light, flexible protection. Underfoot, a firm, supportive MEMlex midsole and FriXion XT 2.0 rubber keep things stable when the terrain turns spicy.
With a secure heel and moderate toe room, it fits a touch small, so we recommend going up a half size if you're coming from Hoka or Saucony. Coming from the original Akasha? The II puts more emphasis on durability, protection and breathability. Want a lighter, faster option for groomed trails? Try the Helios III.
