A breathable upper of rip-stop nylon and mono-burr inserts resists abrasion, a low-profile thermo-formed toe cap protects on rocky routes, and added tongue and ankle padding makes longer days more comfortable. The firm MEMlex midsole and FriXion AT 2.0 rubber deliver multi-surface grip with a smooth roll-through, making it a sharp pick for fast miles.
This one is snug and low-volume with a narrow toe box, so most runners go up a half size, especially with wider feet. Want more cushion and protection for long mountain days? Try the Akasha II. Need more precision on steep, technical terrain? The Bushido III is the low-profile mountain runner.
